@LawrieHooper @BenNall79 4 times that many, a rolling service throughout the year, with issues that would match a static public library. Plus an excellent Bibliotherapy/reminiscence service that regularly visits res homes. Jersey and Guernsey library services are centrally funded - just saying.

@drwatsonsa @peddyrcannell Just pointing out - the Family & Mobile Library were Dept of Ed & Children until cut in 2012. Established 1920s through the Carnegie Trust (who funded many public libraries w/wide) so not a recent "charity needs Govt support". Was always an educational service and still is.

@Sprucey_1969 @MattStevns I saw same last year in Liverpool, in a budget store. Man walked in, grabbed two large boxes of multi pack coffees and marched out, bold as brass. Staff resigned to issue & moved the rest of stock away from the door.

@MrsNickyClark Not just teens. Full grown adult woman (40s+) treated my mum the same, because she dithered over a purchase. Mum had a brain injury that didn't help, and was in her 70s. This woman was an employee in the shop so I made sure she knew why we wouldn't buy from her. Be kind? Ha.

@LukeTryl Had my Delay Repay declined, for a cancelled train which meant I arrived 2 hrs late, but they wouldn't compensate as they'd removed the cancelled train from the timetable, so in theory it couldn't be cancelled. My ticket was still for the now nonexistent cancelled train, though.

@A_B_Morgan Still have my ones from the 60s onwards. My Oxford reference dictionary (illustrated) bought about 25 years ago is my favourite to dip in to. Mum always had a Thesaurus to hand - wonderful way to expand the world. 📚📖

@LawrieHooper Did the voice from on high also tell Manx Care to cancel ante-natal parentcraft for mothers to be (but still provides a 2 HR course for new dads)? Not sure of the logic here when the person who has carried the baby doesn't technically get the rest of the education to go with.

@R53023R @GulfportBreeze @LqLana Yes it can. Go through the same thing with any number of fatal birth abnormalities and face the awful consequences and then you can judge. That's why we have early diagnostic scans. Have gone through same, excruciating, heartbreaking decision process 34 yrs ago. Will never forget

@Witterbird84 This looks ace. Sprouts perfect. Fancy spuds. Pork chops with lovely browned bits. Yum. Taught my three (2m, 1f) to cook, started with eggs when they were small, they all serve up better food than I do. Great skills, especially when wanting to make friends!
