Americans have a negative opinion of protests in general

People on the left have a positive one

Protests have an uphill battle to positively affect public opinion vs negatively. But liberals are cavalier about them.

In 2020, the curfew was city-wide and without exceptions (from my memory)
The current curfew seems much more "narrowly tailored."
But did LA try less restrictive policies? What were the threats justifying?
