Guillaume Trounson

🇬🇧/🇫🇷 I normally tweet or RT some random stuff. May get the occasional #MUFC or #StadeToulousain or #MFFL or #GoPackGo rant every now and then.

@SleeperMaverick Bro did someone from ESPN pay you to post this?

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

It is impossible for us to hold a lead against 10 men…

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

8 MINS?!??????

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

Great finish from Mbeumo. All started from Baleba riding the challenge in our own half, and feeding it out wide to start the transition.

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

I know Michael Carrick said the running stats are not the right way to look at the team, but that first half really doesn’t help his case. Nearly 3x the number of touches in opposition box. Better passing, and better effort from Spurs are making us look impotent.

@utdrobbo Two CBs in the last years of their contracts starting is such confusing thinking. What are the board waiting on them to prove???? Got to give the reps to the future. Yoro & Heaven.

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

@MrTomMcDermott Given up so many oppo touches in our own box inside 15 mins already….

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

@jasonjwilde @Tpars_boii I’m not disappointed with this. With what happened to ZBB, probably better to take it easy with MP. Also, look back to last season with Watson. Didn’t come back until end of October. And he looked amazing when he did.

Gannon defence also done well so far (relatively) without MP

@Altgthr AB bought and paid by AD

The noisy neighbours were always cheating. We knew it from the start. They defrauded & tarnished English football for 15 years. Any sanction that would be applied going forward, now must include historic.

Expulsion
Points deduction
All titles stripped
Forced sale

@BillHuberNFL MLF isn’t ruthless enough. He said how hard it was to part ways with Bisaccia during off season. He doesn’t have it in him to call out Butkus/Stenavich who’ve been with MLF since ‘19. Sure the O line is not what it used to be, but it’s their job to platform the players correctly.

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

@AdamCrafton_ Tolerated mediocrity for too long. 8 years, and the biggest compliment you can pay him is “he trains well and he’s one of the fittest players in the squad”. Too many times he wastes Utd chances in the final 3rd.

It’s 2026, and we’re still trying to replace Neville & Evra….

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

Not to overreact or be a bearer of bad omens, but Utd after a major summer international tournament never seem to have a great season.

14/15
16/17
18/19
21/22
23/24 (World Cup was in winter 22)
24/25

World Cup was always going to curtail signing players early in the summer.

Our 2026/27 #PL squad numbers have been revealed... 👀

@Altgthr Do we now have the bear necessities needed to compete for a title?

[Guillaume Trounson @TrounsonG95]

Yep what he said👇

The combinations of midfielders Carrick can deploy in PL, CL, FA, LC competitions is tantalising. Flexibility while offering solid quality in each position that offers rest in a potential 50-60 game upcoming season.

[Tom McDermott @MrTomMcDermott]

At 22, Baleba could be in the #MUFC engine room for a decade. I didn’t think he was as good last campaign as the season before, but he does have the potential to be excellent. The mobility and athleticism he possesses is a real asset and compliments what is already at the club. If he can continue to improve the other areas of his game, the reported fee may look like a bargain further down the road.
