The property tax rate of $0.710545 adopted by the Troup City Council at Monday’s city council meeting is 12.95% less than the 2021-2022 property tax rate of $0.816257 and is a reduction of 26.08% in Troup's property tax rate since it peaked at $0.951771 in fiscal year 2012-2013.

The 2022-2023 property tax rate is the lowest tax rate in Troup since the tax rate of $0.671643 was adopted 14 years ago, in 2008.
