@DMACalvert Everything about this game was freaking *great* except the one sequence with the submarine. It's very likely you know what I mean, and if so I'm very sorry.
@DMACalvert The NX-01 was quite often my favorite part of that show. I think one of the Ships of the Line calendars featured a transitional form 'refit' that extended the nacelle struts underneath and added a TOS-style engineering hull - it really highlit the 'common ancestor ship' vibes.
@DMACalvert I just wrote, read, and deleted a tweet that was basically "Whoa, that [section of ship]. And that [other section of ship]" until I'd listed the whole thing, so... wow. It feels like the aggressive bigger sibling of a Miranda or a Soyuz, and I love that for it.
@DMACalvert You know, I never thought about it in any great depth but this is absolutely right! Little strips, like the one Voyager had around the saucer? Fine. Big patches of various colors just doesn't feel very Starfleety.
@DMACalvert Season 1 was incredibly watchable, season 2 only slightly less so... and then it fell off a cliff for the last three seasons. It works pretty well on streaming, but the 'oh shit!' moments get exhausting in rapid succession.
