If we had strong leadership in Georgia:

• Savannah would have a full-fledged airport. Or Brunswick. Or both.

• The barrier islands would be maintained to Sea Island standards. Raked, cleaned, and treated like the assets they are.

• We would brand our coast the way Charleston, Hilton Head, and Florida brand theirs.

• We would gut income tax and property tax. Don’t tax my home and don’t tax my income. Redirect to consumption and let a booming tourism economy carry the load.

• South Georgia would have a full-scale hunting economy. Texas built one. We have the same land and none of the infrastructure.

• We would build around the Chattahoochee. It runs 430 miles from North Georgia to the Gulf. Nashville did this with the Cumberland. Austin did it with Lady Bird Lake. Chicago did it with the Riverwalk.

We have every asset those states have. We have never had the high agency leadership willing to action on them.

In 2020, 13-year-old Callum Manning from South Shields, England, created an Instagram account for one simple reason. He loved books and wanted somewhere to share his reviews.

At the time, the page had around 50 followers.

Then some students at his new school found it.

Instead of encouraging him, they created a group chat and mocked him for reading, calling him names like “creep” and “sad weirdo.” Callum was added to the chat and had to watch the messages appear himself.

It hurt more than he expected. He later said it was the first time in a long while that he had actually cried.

His 24-year-old sister, Ellis, decided to do something. She shared what had happened online, hoping maybe 20 or 30 of her friends would follow Callum and leave a few kind comments.

That wasn't what happened.

Within days, Callum went from around 50 followers to hundreds of thousands.

Authors including Neil Gaiman, Malorie Blackman, Matt Haig and Caroline Kepnes reached out. Publishers offered him books. Waterstones encouraged him to keep reviewing and offered him a free book when he next visited.

And Callum kept reading.

The account that classmates had mocked became the place where hundreds of thousands of people came to hear what a 13-year-old thought about the books he loved.

His sister had only wanted a few people to remind him that there was nothing embarrassing about loving books.

She found an entire community waiting to tell him the same thing.

We were tired of over development and our leaders, Chuck Efstration, Clint Dixon and others help us remove zoning from Gwinnett.

Over the years I’ve received a lot of advice about offshoring my robotics and engineering from entrepreneurs and VC’s. Hire engineers in Colombia/Mexico, software from India, back office in The Philippines, buy robots from China.

“You can make more money and you’re leaving margin on the table.” (Basically, we’re all doing it, so come join us).

It never felt right, I decided to forge ahead with 100% American workforce. To offer “MADE IN USA” technology & engineering to businesses and the government.

Zig when others zag? Not really, just have integrity and do the right thing.

In the last 5 months we’ve unseated multiple Indian engineering companies because our clients don’t want to talk to a guy in India. My clients refuse to talk to Chinese robot suppliers.

Now, the 232 tariff on robotics has dropped. The FCC banned foreign autonomous robots. And more actions are in the pipeline. We have a hard earned pipeline of AMERICAN suppliers and they give us preference on pricing and lead times. Today, talent and lead time wins the game.

My American engineers keep referring their American friends to come work at @ChangRobotics. The universities we recruit at roll out the red carpet and refer the best students ahead of the career fairs. They subsidize our lab spaces.

Why? Because we positioned this way in 2017 when it was totally unpopular (our first year). We doubled down through COVID and earned multiple master reseller agreements from the largest suppliers on earth. In 2024 we got our first “Buy American” certification. In 2025 I had the honor of helping to write the tariffs on robotics and automation that are going into place now.

Now these same well meaning entrepreneurs can’t find domestic talent, their cost structures can’t absorb domestic content, and their supply chain of cheap parts has been shut off.

They are all wishing they could rewind the clock and build a USA company.

But factory owners know who to call. The team that’s been doing it in America the entire time.

Only thing I know for sure is someone who once worked as head of Software Engineering for Accolade & Adobe shouldn’t have to drive a bus because there are no other jobs being offered to our fellow Americans in Tech.
