This is Palisades Nuclear Plant. My plant. My employer for almost 20 years. Today I watched a reactor operator press the button on the Reactor Protection System panel that tripped the reactor for the last time. A sad day.

@energybants Very unlikely since refueling cycle including maintenance and capital improvements have been pushed to get to the finish line- a lot of money to put the genie back in the bottle. Too little too late I fear.
