I’d love to see the reaction on James Naismith’s face if he saw how basketball has evolved to Spurs-Thunder game two.
Feels like the sport has gotten only greater and greater.
The one quote from Trajan Langdon today that put the progress the Pistons have made into real perspective: “This postseason we finished with seven wins. Two seasons ago, this team only had 14 wins in the regular season.”
Victor Wembanyama is 22 years old. Not even close to his prime. If he keeps this up, he WILL overtake both Jordan and Lebron for that greatest ever title. This is ridiculous man.
The Pistons season is officially over.
I’m beyond blessed to be in the position to cover the sport and team that I hold dear.
Thanks to all of you who have followed along and helped make it a reality. Not even close to done.
This game 7 won’t hit the same if you never saw Austin Daye’s potential. It won’t hit the same if you never scouted Khyri Thomas on YouTube. It won’t hit the same if you never seen a terrible Frank Jackson fit on the Pistons twitter account #DetroitBasketball
A postseason run that continues to be defined by squandered opportunities and mental lapses.
The Pistons were up by 9 with three minutes to go, and have gotten outscored 19-6 since.
If you think gold, silver, oil, and Treasury yields are high now, they all look like they're about to explode much higher. The same is true for consumer prices in general, as inflation returns with a vengeance. This does not portend 1970s stagflation. It portends something worse.
