There's just absolutely no doubt that Bill Belichick was kept out of the Hall of Fame (for what should be just one year) as a punishment for the multiple cheating scandals during his best seasons.
And I'm okay with that.
Since the #Steelers last reached the Super Bowl in 2010, they have won just three playoff games.
In that same time, the Houston Texans have won seven playoff games.
And they’ve done it with three different coaches.
4) 4th Worst Playoff win percentage in the modern era with minimum 10 games (0.400)
5) Last 3 playoff games, defense has given up 642 rushing yards (214 per game)
6) Has gone 1 and done 9 times in history, which is tied for most first round exists in NFL history.
MIKE TOMLIN
Here’s Mike Tomlin in the playoffs:
1) 15 out of 18 Seasons without
Playoff Wins
2) Tied for most consecutive playoff losses in NFL history with 7
3) In those last 7 losses, outscored 260-154. Which is an average of 37-22 per game.
Thing is, I like Mike Tomlin. Overall, I find him entertaining and I think he’s a good football coach. He’s been good for Pittsburgh and vice versa.
But this can’t continue to be the ceiling for this franchise under his leadership. It just can’t. #Steelers
In their seven straight playoff losses, #Steelers have allowed teams to convert on 3rd down at a 58.6% rate.
Tennessee in 2020 had the worst 3rd down defense in the modern era at 52% allowed.
Mike Tomlin's defense has been remarkably terrible on 3rd downs in the postseason.
