BREAKING: We just witnessed a rapidly growing wildfire near Barstow, California, at approximately 7:00 PM PDT on July 2.
The fire appeared to spread very quickly. I captured video as it was growing and wanted to share it in case it helps others understand the situation.
If you’re in the area, stay alert and follow instructions from local emergency officials.

National security must come before revenue targets and IPO ambitions.
Restricting access to advanced AI models by foreign nationals is a prudent step when the potential exists for those capabilities to be used against U.S. critical infrastructure, government systems, or private industry.
Protecting the homeland is not anti-innovation. It's common sense.
Nope, I will not cheer as @POTUS and Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Tech Neuberger take a victory lap for “publishing a document” while America is vulnerable AND under attack.
They’ve had FOUR YEARS to act, to improve our national security against a growing onslaught of cyber attacks. Let’s recap where we are in those 4 years: systemic Chinese penetration across all major telcos (Salt Typhoon), some of the worst breaches of healthcare systems and hospitals, some of the most damaging ransomware and destructive ransomware attacks on SMBs, large orgs and cities, major breaches across govt agencies, and nation state actors claiming embedment across critical infrastructure systems like waterways and electrical grids (Volt Typhoon).
Publishing a doc 4 days before exit feels suspiciously like “security by PowerPoint” - IYKYK. (Note: there are brilliant defenders in the USG - this is NOT a commentary on their tireless efforts!)
We need to do better:
1. Get @CISAgov back to being laser focused on its congressional authorities
2. Incoming tech and cyber leadership under @realDonaldTrump needs to aggressively drive resilient and secure changes across govt networks and systems at rapid pace
3. The govt needs to be brilliant at the basics of cybersecurity & spend less time chasing shiny penny topics when back doors are wide open
4. Govt sharing of timely and actionable threat intel to private sector must be extended beyond the military industrial complex.
