The data used is unreliable and two many variables are left out.

Where i know the data is collected by modern technology and I know where and when it is taken and know that data is collected to modern standards.

Things like location, type of glass, thickness of glass, quality of mercury, if the scale was accurate, was the scale on wooden mounts, ect. They did not have standards like we do.
