After tuning the 300blk its recoil isn’t as bad as it used to be but I think it’s at its peak so I’ll leave it alone but the super safety hates this lower so time for a new lower!
After running a stainless steel FRT trip on an oem trigger with a modified trigger bar profile I no longer can run a sharp trip but with a rounded trip it works when dry firing so next range trip and we’ll see how much of a difference it makes!
So with my GFRT I’ve found that the steel I’m using can work but has to be broken in to work properly while the 3d printed one doesn’t work for gen 5 without breaking the trigger around the pin so I’m going to make a metal trigger and buy the stainless steel FRT arm for it…
Shot my ar15 300blk build after having it built for about a year before I finally ran it!
This is the fastest I could run it going for speed and noting the recoil before so I can see how much tuning the gas can do for me!
Made my own metal GFRT and since it feels good so far I might have range footage sooner than expected! 3lb firing pin spring, 20lb recoil spring, and a modded disconnector to get it like this and best believe me those batteries will remain unreplaced!🤣
@__MPMS__ So basically you can cut it two ways but there’s no difference. In the first picture I just cut the nub while the second I cut the arm off that has the nub(cleaner look) which is what I’m running
I went to test my GFRT off cam and found that it needs really slippery lube or just needs to be metal to significantly reduce friction as well as some lube so when I have it made in metal I’ll get some footage of it running in about 2 months since I don’t go to the range often.
I might use strait mags for the final design since this design after fixing the issue you see in the picture is just an extremely difficult mag to load. But on the other hand I’m thinking about trying to fix it before I try to scrap the design.
The FCG had to be diy and not printable with the ability to make the trigger bar with or without welding. It also has the ability to use the trigger bar as an out of battery safety and a forced reset mechanism!
I plan to find a outdoor range before I test my Glock FRT… In the meantime Im extremely close to finishing the Vss/As Val conversion kit and it might be done in two weeks if all goes well! I will be putting a classic As Val kit on it with black cherry filament for furniture!
