@Em8erCummz Does that one bit discredit his entire idea? If you'd like to be taken seriously, you'd make a point, not play a gatcha game and use a strawman.
@llorebuffay Let's not cap. This has a chance to win GOTY only if @fromsoftware_pr chooses to do nothing, unlike last time.
Additionally, let us not forget that the Game Awards steadly becomes another jar of cookies with too many hands in it like Oscars did, so you can hardly rely on them.
@dragon_of_tojo@ObnielValdez Let's stop the glaze. If Fay was on Kratos' level "or maybe even more", no two nameless goons would ever have the strength to restrain her. Let us not forget that Kratos killed the entire pantheon; he is supposed to be 'the guy' of the verse. He allows her to treat him like that.
@N_Ranoru@adawhdahd12039@50PlusGamer1970@its_shujaat@PeterP_1985 Absence of violence isn't what brings variety, but they obviously introduced more bloodless enemies in order to limit gore intentionally. Original GoW had plenty of variety, but blood and gore and fatality-like executions were the stars of the show.
@N_Ranoru@adawhdahd12039@50PlusGamer1970@its_shujaat@PeterP_1985 First of all, no artist is in charge of the final say on what the final project will be like, that lies with execs and people who have deep pockets but little understanding of art.
My reference is sound, fictional worlds can only benefit from additional authenticity.
@N_Ranoru@adawhdahd12039@50PlusGamer1970@its_shujaat@PeterP_1985 See, personal insults don't contribute to your point.
Point is, the quirky, cutesy things that speak in a way modern zoomers speak don't do a whole lot to make the fantastical myth world believable and corrupt immersion, for shallow entertainment value. I'd like GoW to be better.
@N_Ranoru@adawhdahd12039@50PlusGamer1970@its_shujaat@PeterP_1985 There is no "my taste" in this equation; there is an observable, measurable scale. Blood has nothing to do with the level of gore; disassembling the bodies does. Not to mention the tone. God of War was always taking itself seriously. "Oh, you're a talking cube named FRANK". Bruh.
@Remiireee@50PlusGamer1970@its_shujaat@PeterP_1985 By noticing a huge disparity between visceral violence before the 2018 games and after. Originals gave you as many opportunities to bathe in the blood of your enemies as they could. This game's basic enemies are bloodless mechanical animatronics for a reason. Deduce.
@justinewingz@WorstTimeLine45@farzam_plays I have been here waiting for Artemis to hunt down Kratos since 2018. Trust me, they are not as considerate of the possibilities of their own worldbuilding as their fans are.
@TheCardinalArts Zeus is by far the strongest god showcased in the verse; the only reason Kratos won at all is due to the power of Hope that is now with the people.
To have Fey whoop his ass is to artificially prop her up at the cost of the preestablished worldbuilding. It's not good.
