I have utmost respect for his service and all who have served. But it has become a noticeable trend that in order to go viral with Rogan (or maybe just to get on his show) you have to bring in this kind of other worldly thing. Taking this logic to the extreme, it's all about conspiracy theories. This is rooted in a general distrust of government and institutions. Take that to an extreme and everything is fake. Literally. That's called simulation theory. UFO's aren't just about UFO's. It's about distrust in our systems. Our institutions. And ultimately the Catholic Church. Submission and obedience are necessary virtues in Christianity. It's also these virtues that come as the deepest challenge to modern day men. This is Joe Rogan's audience. They are disillusioned, and have a strong sense that there is a right and wrong. Righteous indignation. It's understandable. At the same time, Rogan's audience has become a constituency. He may not have ever intended for this to be the case, but his audience has become politically important. The problem is the political class is pandering to their base appetites, instead of leading them to a higher order. Which should not be a surprise to anybody paying attention.
Is it possible Hollywood is taking BIG losses on old super hero characters on purpose so they can get to the point where nobody will ever expect them to try to make one of those movies again?
@jayy__sann@Jon_Finkel@grok If I were an age 20-45 male meathead, connected to the pop culture, who would I recommend to play He Man? Just give me a list. No explanation.
If Pete Rose's proven gambling incidents involved him intentionally losing for the purpose of a bet, then ok. But, if that has never been proven to be the case, HOW CAN HE BE BANNED FROM THE HALL OF FAME?

After my father died, I was numb. Not sad enough to cry, not angry enough to shout, just numb, like they cut the wires and left the lights on. What pulled me back was routine and a coach who kept showing up. I built a life on that one idea: you do not fix a young athlete; you become the adult who keeps showing up. Be that for your child this weekend. It matters more than the result.
