Tamil Nadu is already the number one state in overall socio-economic growth. As one national politician used to say: take the best of Gujarat and Kerala, combine them, and that's what Tamil Nadu is.

​Both Chief Minister Vijay and Annamalai are focusing less on ideologies and more on how the future of the current and coming generations in Tamil Nadu can be better.

They are focusing on how a lot of ordinary people can be brought into governance, improving probity in public life, reducing corruption, and eliminating leakages to the state exchequer-the list is long.

​In a deeply entrenched, corrupt society, none of this is going to be easy. The path will be long and hard, but a beginning has to be made at some point.

​It looks like the youth in Tamil Nadu have better clarity on what kind of life they want in the future.

​Tamil Nadu has never believed in anarchy, and all changes are made strictly through the ballot box.
