@Mollyploofkins I feel like there are way too many laws as it is. For a country "for the people, by the people", there sure is a lot of laws against the peoples' activities.
@AbakpaJob I'm guessing because billionaires have this tendency to want to hang onto their money, and are resourced sufficiently to move their operations, and all the economy and employment they create, elsewhere.
@charles85895749 The trouble is, those of us representing us have been busted too many times with their hands in the cookie jar. If they aren't spending too much, they're stealing it. If they aren't stealing it, they're giving it away.
@RepDavid Nothing will change until everyone in Congress is fired. A balanced budget amendment is added to the constitution and that can only happen if there is a revolution to get money out of politics and capital punishment for those who betray us.
We can adjust this, and make i work, for smart people, rather than your friend who is obviously retarded.
Car insurance + car
Car payment $200 at most
Insurance - $75 at most unless he has multiple DUI's.
Student Loan? LOL. Why did he go $50k in debt over a loan that offered him nothing, and got him a job that pays 50% less than a job that does not require one.
Gym? Good, but just go work out in the park.
So, 670 on car/insurance, minus 395 for his luxury decision.
$340/mo from a worthless loan to drink and party for a few years.
$45 for the gym.
He has $837 left each month.
He puts 50% of that in index funds for the next 20 years, less if he buys a house (good thing)
20 years later: $318,000
20 years later with a house? Hard to gauge, but you have a house, beat rent inflation, and probably still have the $300k. Being a moron is not an excuse to be a communist.
Sales tax is great. Everybody pays it. Criminals, the rich, the poor, tourists, illegal aliens, everybody. If you don’t want to pay it then don’t buy something. It’s the fairest tax there is.
@Senpaisaysbye Well if you're going with people you know, then are you acquainted with folks who ARE succeeding? Our peers have a tendency to rub off on us. First step to success: Don't follow unsuccessful people. Surround yourself with winners.
Can you imagine a government constantly raising taxes on its own citizens, piling more and more debt onto the American people, then turning around and sending BILLIONS of those taxpayer dollars out of the country?
We’re told there’s never enough money for Americans.
Yet somehow there’s ALWAYS money for foreign governments, foreign programs and foreign interests.
