Welcoming males into female spaces and sports excludes women and girls.
It is not inclusive and progressive.
It is oppressive, harmful and sometimes dangerous sex discrimination.
@WRNWales@NationCymru@RhunapIorwerth Well done Nation Cymru.
She’s the one scaremongering, spreading nonsense and refusing to engage with the detail - then has the nerve to accuse others of ‘culture wars’! Absurd.
@women_outspoken@HadleyFreeman Yep - and also the EHRC guidance had just been published on the previous Friday so it was also precisely the ‘right time’ for Adler to raise that with Harman. Absurd omissions given the event topic.
I criticise @BBCWalesNews quite a lot. But away from their refusal to cover trans ideology’s impact in Wales, I’ve noticed very clear language use on some women’s biological health issues. Another good example 👏

@WRNWales@Plaid_Cymru It’s so depressing. Meanwhile I know of girls avoiding the loo at a Welsh school because they don’t have proper single sex facilities. I’ve previously been treated haughtily by an NHS Wales staff member for requesting female-only care for something. It’s NOT kind or inclusive.
@WRNWales@Plaid_Cymru Am I right that she came 3rd in Plaid’s constituency candidate member vote but was given 2nd position because she’s a *woman*? And no.3 - who was voted no. 2 by members - didn’t get a seat?
@Edugarzam@janeclarejones@beesley_cathy Those are ridiculous comparisons. And using a 3rd space no more outs someone as trans as it does out someone who has an invisible disability or is just busting for a wee - ironically a very middle aged female experience. You seem determined to twist my words. Bye now.
@Edugarzam@janeclarejones@beesley_cathy When someone misunderstands me I try to explain my point in a different way rather than insult them.
My point is these respondents are drawing from their own life experience & are advocating *for their own needs*. They aren’t regurgitating the opinions of Twitter ‘TERFs’.
@Edugarzam@janeclarejones@beesley_cathy I absolutely think adults are free to act on their trans ID. *Just not in a way that tramples over others* which puts me squarely in the majority on these surveys. I support trans rights to safety & have always advocated for 3rd spaces, which also benefit ‘NB’ people & families.
@Edugarzam@janeclarejones@beesley_cathy I’ve not said anything about 3) and know lovely gay parents doing a great job.
I’ve listened to trans people & their identity is based on feelings stemming from deeply internalised stereotypes. I acknowledge the *feeling* is real.
@Edugarzam@janeclarejones@beesley_cathy Some men clearly are fetishists & have jumped on this movement.
But I have met trans people with very real gender distress, often gay youngsters. I sympathise hugely, but the trans lobby’s extreme demands are harmful to women & to kids in the grip of social contagion.
@janeclarejones@beesley_cathy TRAs seem to think these survey respondents have been radicalised by ‘relentless hate campaigning’.
If that were the case, why do these surveys also show that people are liberal about trans ID?
These responses reflect women’s *own experiences and needs*.
This is the moment @BBCkatyaadler says ‘this is not the time’ when a woman asks @JuliaGillard about @salltweets while @HarrietHarman repeatedly says ‘not at all’ in response to Gillard destroying women’s sex based rights
This was a talk entitled Women In Politics
For shame!
@Sorelle_Arduino@BBCkatyaadler@JuliaGillard@salltweets@HarrietHarman There’s *two* extremely senior UK political journalists on that stage with her, totally avoiding this topic, 10 days after the Giggle judgment, and a few days after the UK’s EHRC code on the EA was finally presented. Shameful.
@plax_ico@MENnewsdesk They are welcome to share facilities with whom they choose. They cannot consent for all the rest of us, most of whom do not agree with them, according to polling (while wanting trans people to live safely).
@GoodLawProject Those women have no right to consent for the rest of us.
Please stop this and campaign for more gender neutral in addition to single sex. Everyone wins and we can all move on.
Exactly this. Unfairly disadvantaging girls is NOT ‘inclusion’.
What would be inclusive? Men & boys including ALL males.
UK trans cyclist Emily Bridges wanted a female Welsh team place - loads of coverage. But Emily’s reports of bullying by ex male teammates - no discussion.
This is the reality. He took a scholarship a girl earned.
So no, it's not "inclusive". It's exclusive to the very women the women's sporting category was created to protect.
