6th grade classes beginning their swim unit this quarter. Working on their freestyle/front crawl using pull buoys, kick boards, and flippers. A pool in MS is such a huge resource. #bulldogproud
Our 8th grade season concluded last week. Girls went 10-1 on the season. Such an awesome group of kids, with fun personalities, and a world of potential. #Bulldogproud
A new unit we teach 8th grade students is called sports design. They research PE games & select one to teach their class. After teaching the activity they reflect, on the game, & try to make changes to improve the game. Allows students to be lead & say in the activities in class.
Our PE department teaches about cultural games. Today we played Hurling, but students brainstormed ways to play the game without official hurling equipment. So this is our modified hurling game. It was awesome
One of major goals in PHE is to celebrate our students. Our “Going for Gold” board celebrates who scored the top milestones, based on their age and grade level! #ROMSrocks@krimeldrum
