I don’t think the human is dead, far from it. It’s mentioned that papyrus will not stop until he wins.

Since sans is practically DEAD in the alternative route, then that means we might actually get an actual dustswap game

With the alternative route in dusttrust X i have speculations that we’ll either have 2 games in one

One which focuses on sans’ storyline in the main game and another which focuses on the player’s storyline in what is essentially vanilla dustswap
