What really stopped me from using Abstract a few months ago was the rough communication and handling during the Phin/marketing era. Things like the Bigcoin mess, obvious Gigachads pushing scams, and it often felt like the team looked the other way or just hit users with “your responsibility” without real support. Constructive criticism? Quick blocks. The vibe was pure hype-only, no discussion allowed – that made everything feel forced and toxic, and it killed my trust.
I would love to see better communication and support in the future.
A big personal frustration was around holding assets: Back then I had a lot of coins/memes sitting on Abstract, and Phin had publicly said holding memecoins would give XP. Then suddenly, for several weeks straight, I got 0 XP from holdings – nothing at all. I asked in support, pointed out the earlier statements from the marketing guy, and got completely ignored. No response, no fix, no acknowledgment. That felt super unfriendly and frustrating as a user who was trying to engage properly.
On the holding side now: Is it worth bridging/holding way more than 8.88 million $PENGU on Abstract? That's the cap for PENGU III (highest tier passive XP bonus/weekly drops), right? Does anything extra kick in beyond that threshold – like scaled XP based on total amount/value held – or is it just flat once you hit PENGU III? Clarity here would help me decide.
I'm honestly thinking about coming back but I'm not fully sure yet. That's why I'm asking about PENGU specifically – wanna know if bridging bigger bags actually boosts rewards meaningfully, or if capping at 8.88m is the smart move.
One more suggestion for better UX: More transparency in the XP system would be huge. It's not always clear what exactly contributed (or didn't) each week – e.g., holding certain memecoins/NFTs/apps. A rough breakdown (like "holdings gave X%, app interactions Y%") or even just visibility into what was tracked/missed would help users optimize, spot bugs (like forgotten counts), and feel more fairly rewarded. I know the system evolves and isn't meant to be fully predictable, but even partial insights would make a big difference and avoid old frustrations repeating.
Appreciate any straight answers – thanks for the open thread!
