@CoughsOnWombats From a gm gameplay perspective, these types of things absolutely should occur, but with the box left open for resistance, even if it is extremely narrow, unless the failstate being an automatic 'You Lose' button has been telegraphed over and over.
@CoughsOnWombats I like this insofar as consequences are Important in narrative play, but dislike it in terms of forced inevitability; it's not specified here, but was it consistently looming while the party did their thing? Were they literally the only force capable of posing resistance?
If you set up an LLC and simply employ yourself, you are legally entitled to minimum wage. Many people fail to make use of this free money because it is a well-kept secret by innumerable millionaires who began their journeh at such a humble wage.
Capitalism, in its infinite wisdom, has divined that I never *need* to get my hands dirty if I take every possible step to avoid it, and I would like to take advantage of that, God willing.
