This is America Thayer.
She was 55 years old.
Her boyfriend, an ILLEGAL from Cuba, Alexis Saborit was charged with 1st degree murder after a decapitated body was found in the middle of an intersection in Shakopee, Minnesota in July 2021. The head was also found nearby. The indictment revealed that he allegedly told a friend days before the murder, "I'm going to chop her f%cking head off." He also told investigators Thayer was threatening to leave him.
In July 2023, Saborit was ACQUITTED by reason of mental illness.
The son of the victim said, "It's tough to understand how someone can commit a cold-blooded murder, plan to do it, tell everyone they're going to do it, have a motive to do it & somehow be considered insane."
The state says it will look to ensure he stays in a secured hospital setting for years but legal experts say he could be released one day.
So we pay for a murderer to sit in a hospital until he is released onto our streets when he shouldn't be in the country in the first place???
