9/10/22 REWIND – Top Economist Sachs Accuses American ‘Biotech Cartel’ of Coronavirus Pandemic

Top American economist Jeffrey Sachs, former chair of the prestigious Lancet COVID19 Commission, has made devastating accusations. According to him, SARS-CoV-2 escaped from risky laboratory research and did not originate through a natural zoonosis.

In an explosive interview with The Grayzone, Sachs draws on FOIA documents, internal emails, the infamous DEFUSE proposal, and panic among virologists.

Furin Cleavage Site: the ‘smoking gun’

The most incriminating element is the unique Furin Cleavage Site (PRRA) in the spike protein. This insertion makes the virus extremely contagious in humans, yet it is absent in the closest bat coronaviruses. Sachs calls this the decisive hallmark of laboratory manipulation.

According to Sachs, the US government funded risky gain-of-function research via NIH/NIAID under Anthony Fauci and EcoHealth Alliance led by Peter Daszak. The 2018 DEFUSE proposal – rejected by DARPA but possibly partially carried out anyway – described exactly the creation of chimeric viruses with a Furin Cleavage Site in bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

In the very first weeks, leading virologists including @MarionKoopmans and Ron Fouchier @ErasmusMC discussed a possible lab leak in internal conversations. Fauci, Daszak and others are said to have steered the narrative, withheld lab notes and blocked transparency. Even the Lancet commission received insufficient cooperation.

Suspicious Key Figures

• Anthony Fauci (NIAID/NIH): Central to the funding and early crisis consultations.
• Peter Daszak (EcoHealth Alliance): Primarily responsible for DEFUSE and grants to Wuhan, with a serious conflict of interest in the Lancet commission.
• Ralph Baric (University of North Carolina): Expert in chimeric coronaviruses who carried out exactly this type of experiments.
• Shi Zhengli (‘Bat Woman’, Wuhan): Led the bat research at the epicentre.
• Vincent Munster (NIAID/Rocky Mountain Labs, Dutch): Involved in DEFUSE and high-risk research. In 2026 he was charged with smuggling deactivated mpox samples from Congo, in which he lied to customs.
This network conducted precisely the kind of experiments that could lead to a global disaster, Sachs states.

These individuals not only breached my medical contracts with AHS but attempted to murder approximately 2500 Cancer patients under my care in Edmonton, Alberta. Most of these patients are now DEAD.

AHS has wasted over $10 million in legal fees protecting these corrupt Executives and bureaucrats, bribed dozens of lawyers, and about a dozen judges in two different Courts.
