WARFARE 101: The best plan on any battlefield gives you the most options up to the last possible minute.

That is a principle every combat commander learns early, and it is one we should be applying to the situation in front of us right now.

We have multiple wars unfolding at the same time, and the pace of decision-making has to match the complexity of the threat. Ukraine has nearly fallen out of the public conversation, yet thousands of people are being killed every day. That war has not paused. It has simply moved out of the headlines. The same is true of the conflict in Iran that we are currently engaged in.

Every one of these fights deserves clear-eyed attention and a full set of options on the table.

I believe there are solutions to the war in Ukraine and to the conflict we are navigating today against Iran. Solutions exist when leaders preserve flexibility, listen to honest counsel, and refuse to lock into a single course of action before the situation demands it.

The moment a commander surrenders his options, he surrenders his initiative. The moment a nation surrenders its options, it surrenders its leverage.

This is the discipline of sound strategy. Keep the options open. Keep the thinking sharp. Keep the door to peace within reach without ever sacrificing strength. That is how wars are ended on terms that hold, and that is how a great nation leads through a season of conflict.

Pray for our troops, the innocent caught in these wars, and pray for the wisdom of our Commander in Chief, carrying the weight of these decisions.

🧅Unpopular Opinion🧅 What if Steve Bannon wasn’t “friends” with Epstein… he was hunting him?

🚨Let’s be brutally clear from the jump🚨
I am not saying Steve Bannon is a hero, a saint, or on the right side of history. The man has 'Sloppy" baggage. Plenty of it.

But the latest Epstein file dump has the internet doing victory laps, screaming “Bannon was chummy with a monster!” Texts, advice on PR, a planned documentary, late-night messages… case closed, right?

Not so fast.

From a pure intelligence tradecraft perspective, this doesn’t look like friendship.

It looks like a classic deep-cover penetration op inside the spider’s web.

Epstein wasn’t just a rich pervert. For decades the rumors and some very credible reporting painted him as an intelligence asset... honey-trap operator, information broker, possible Mossad or CIA cutout who collected kompromat on the global elite. A man who flew presidents, princes, scientists, and billionaires on the same plane. The ultimate target-rich environment.

Now imagine you’re Steve Bannon in 2018-2019, out of the White House, a populist firebrand who has spent years railing against the permanent ruling class. You get an introduction to the one guy who supposedly has the receipts on that entire class.

What do you do?

You don’t walk in waving a flag and demanding answers.

You do exactly what the files show

• You build rapport.

• You say what he wants to hear.

• You offer to “rehabilitate his image” with a documentary.

• You trade political gossip.

• You become the guy he texts at 2 a.m.

That’s not friendship. That’s textbook asset development. In the intelligence world we call it the “long con.” You become the target’s confessor, his sounding board, his ego-stroker. Because the moment he believes you’re on his side, the floodgates open. Names. Locations. Operations. The real kompromat.

Look at the language in the files. Bannon coaching Epstein on narrative control, media training, pushing back on the “lies.” If you’re running an op, that’s perfect cover. You’re inside the decision loop, shaping what the target says and to whom. You’re mapping the network from the inside.

And now?

The files are out. The relationship is public. If Bannon was ever an asset, formal or informal, he is burned. Burn notice in the literal sense. The target is dead, the operation is exposed, and the asset is now radioactive to both sides.

Was it worth it?

Did he walk away with something the rest of us still haven’t seen?

Was the price of becoming “the guy who stood by Epstein” the only way to crack open the single most valuable intelligence target of the 21st century?

I don’t know.

But the speed with which people are rushing to the simplest, most damning conclusion tells me they’ve never studied how real intelligence work actually functions. Real ops are ugly. They require the operator to say and do things that would make normal people vomit. That’s the job.

Time will tell what Bannon’s actual role was.
Maybe he was just another grifter chasing access.
Or maybe, just maybe, we’re watching the messy public unraveling of an operation that got too close to the sun.

Either way, stop cheering the headlines and start asking the colder question.

What if the guy everyone is canceling right now was the only one willing to swim in the sewer to drag the truth out?
