A warm smile spread across Ruby’s face as the woman approached.
“Good morning, Dianna,” she greeted cheerfully.
She gently lifted her baby Behemoth from her shoulder and set the little creature down on the pavement, where it remained close by her side. Turning her attention back to the woman standing a few inches shorter than herself, Ruby extended a hand in greeting.
“I’m Ruby. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
Her light purple eyes soon drifted toward the drink in Dianna’s hand, curiosity sparkling within them.
