Multiple messages via CBA ‘s (deliberately) slow and ineffective messaging app later, and today I get a message that CBA “was unable to recover the money”!. Given that the money never left CBA, that is simply not true. So what’s the answer CBA? Incompetence or theft?

2. Paid by transfer from my Commonwealth (CBA ) account to HR Blocks CBA account at Pennant Hills. My mistake that HR Block’s new account number looked almost identical to the one in my address book. HR Block later said they had closed that account as part of a consolidation.
