Some Christians see a demon behind every bad day.
Others don't believe spiritual warfare is real at all.
Both are wrong.
The Bible is remarkably specific about what spiritual warfare actually is, how it works, what your weapons are, and why most Christians are fighting it completely wrong.
A thread on what Scripture actually says. 🧵
One of the deepest lessons in the story of Lazarus is this:
The reason some people never see God roll the stone away in their life…
is because they are too focused on the odor.
In John 11, Jesus arrives at Lazarus’ tomb after FOUR DAYS.
Historically, that detail matters deeply.
In Jewish culture during that time, many believed the spirit lingered near the body for about three days after death.
By the fourth day, decomposition was undeniable.
Hope was considered completely gone.
The body would already begin producing a strong odor due to decay.
This is why Martha says:
“Lord, by this time there is a stench…” — John 11:39
In other words:
“It’s too far gone.”
“It smells dead.”
“The situation has already decayed.”
“There’s no point now.”
Mary and Martha were focused on the condition of the tomb.
Jesus was focused on resurrection power.
And honestly…
this is where many believers still live today.
Focused on:
the pain,
the trauma,
the addiction,
the betrayal,
the divorce,
the failure,
the reputation,
the decay,
the embarrassment,
the “smell” of what happened.
But Jesus was never intimidated by what already smells dead to people.
Because God specializes in stepping into impossible situations AFTER human ability expires.
Everybody loves preaching:
“Lazarus come forth.”
But few talk about the smell before the miracle.
The uncomfortable part.
The embarrassing part.
The part where people already counted you out.
And here is what makes this powerful theologically:
Jesus intentionally waited.
That destroys the idea that delay always means denial.
Sometimes God allows situations to reach the point where human explanation dies…
so His glory becomes undeniable.
Jesus says:
“Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God?” — John 11:40
Notice:
Faith was required BEFORE the stone moved.
And many people today want resurrection while refusing to confront what is behind the stone.
Because stones protect comfort zones.
Stones hide wounds.
Hide shame.
Hide dead areas.
Hide secret struggles.
But resurrection requires exposure.
And this is the problem:
Some people are so obsessed with the odor that they cannot recognize the presence of God standing in front of them.
Mary saw decay.
Jesus saw destiny.
People saw a grave.
Jesus saw an opportunity for glory.
And this is how many individuals live spiritually.
They define themselves by:
what failed,
what died,
what hurt them,
what people said,
or what currently smells bad in their life.
Meanwhile Heaven is saying:
“Roll the stone away.”
The stone represents unbelief.
Fear.
Bitterness.
Pride.
Control.
Past pain.
Emotional attachment to dead things.
And some people keep rehearsing the smell instead of trusting God’s power.
Hear this clearly:
God is not intimidated by dead situations.
Not dead marriages.
Not dead dreams.
Not dead purpose.
Not dead faith.
Not dead hearts.
But if you stay obsessed with the odor…
you may resist the very miracle God is trying to bring forth.
Because resurrection often begins in places people already gave up on.
And sometimes the greatest obstacle to your breakthrough is not the devil…
It is your agreement with what already looks dead.

There was a farmer who grew excellent quality corn. Every year he won the prize for the best corn grown. One year, a reporter interviewed him and discovered something interesting about the way he grew corn. The reporter discovered that the farmer shares his seeds with his neighbors. "Why does he share his best seeds with his neighbors if every year they compete with his own?" the reporter asked him.
"Why, sir?" the farmer replied, "didn't you know? The wind picks up the pollen from the ripe corn and swirls it from one field to another. If my neighbors grow inferior corn, cross-pollination will constantly degrade the quality of my corn. If I want to grow good corn, I must help my neighbors grow good corn."
The same is true of our lives. Those who want to live good and meaningful lives must help enrich the lives of others, because the value of a life is measured by the lives it touches, and those who choose to be happy must help others find happiness, because the well-being of each is linked to the well-being of all.
SPIRITUAL MARRIAGE is a union between a spirit and a human being. It is a relationship between a person and an entity that is deeply hostile toward them.
The purpose of that spirit in the individual’s life is to frustrate, delay, sabotage, and ultimately prevent them from fulfilling their God-ordained assignment and destiny.
The most terrifying detail about Noah's Ark isn't the size of the flood. It is the design of the boat. If you look closely at the blueprints God gave Noah in Genesis 6, He was extremely specific. He gave the exact length, width, and height. He specified the type of wood and the pitch to seal it. But God left out one crucial component: no steering wheel, no sail, and no engine.
Think about how scary that is. Noah built a massive vessel to survive a global storm, but he had zero control over it or where it went. He couldn't steer away from rocks, turn into the waves, or aim for dry land. He was completely at the mercy of the water. The Ark was designed for floating, not navigation. Noah's job was to be the passenger, not the captain. God was the Captain.
This is your life right now. You are trying to put a steering wheel on a situation that God wants you to simply float on and allow Him to lead and take control.
This blessed me. I hope it blesses you too. 🙏🏾
@DadaMorero Even before G20 Leaders summit, last year you were "Not folding" the moment after the last flight left, the city was back to its filthy self, you can't fool residents, you gain courage now because citizens stood up and protested, and you see an electioneering opportunity
@RexMidzi You can't encourage law enforcement to pursue, while mingling with same subjects, it's not what you say Mr President but what you do that people read into. No concurrence between your word and actions
@advocatemahere@CyrilRamaphosa Our president always likes to act shocked, more shocked than us citizens. He can not claim such checks aren't made, otherwise his security and intelligence detail are either ignorant or incompetent
