Great to see so many tributes to the hugely respected @SirRichardLeese After a quarter of a century as leader- his role in making Manchester the city it is today cannot be overstated and leaves a great legacy behind. He’ll be greatly missed in Manchester and across local govt!
"A job that's flexible around life, especially if you have a family. It would allow you to take time to pick up the kids. Employers need to look after people. Richard Branson said it: look after your staff and they look after you" 1/9

@KatyRubinTO Hey Katy, you are so right! There are 4 or 5 PTC's bubbling away in Greater Manchester and many happening across the UK too. Check out @povertytruthnet for more info.
''It's those relationships which allow change to happen'' Interesting reflections of people involved in the Manchester Poverty Truth Commission. #PovertyTruthMcr
Today is the launch of Manchester’s @TruthPoverty Commission. Real change comes from harnessing the voices and energy of real people. ‘Bringing humanity back into the room’ - lots of recommendations for the city to crack on with. Together we can make a change #povertytruthmcr
Nearly at the end. Thanks to everyone who has contributed, and especially to all the commissioners who brought their whole selves to the process #PovertyTruthMcr
One learning from #PovertyTruthMcr is the importance of trauma informed responses. 1/5 of the people we help @CAPuk tell us they experienced trauma in childhood. What does a trauma informed response in debt collection look like? Has anyone written anything about this?
