Why did @7NewsBrisbane obscure his face on the 6 o’clock news tonight - and did not broadcast his name - even when the @couriermail had no legal difficulty in doing so. Strange.

@petercarruther1 & Stella McKenna - the attached story in the @cairnspost & @couriermail could be contempt of court. While the defendant was sitting in court, he heard the name of a prominent Queenslander mentioned in a sensational accusation. The name was suppressed only later.

A disgraceful example of poor & false reporting by the @TheCairnsPost and the @couriermail which could prejudice a magistrate or jury in an upcoming trial. Based on published timelines, there was no suppression order in place at the time he publicly named a high profile person.

@Channel7 has got it wrong again. The incident occurred in Ipswich not Brisbane. (If it was Gold Coast, @7NewsAustralia would say Gold Coast. Parts of the City of Ipswich are further away from Brisbane than parts of the Gold Coast.) @7NewsSydney
