Not Jewish. Not Christian. Follower of Yeshua HaMashiach and His Holy commands. Stepping back from man-made tradition and pursuing truth.
Wife to @servantofyh.
Much of what is practiced in Christianity comes from church tradition rather than explicit biblical commands.
It is not commanded of us to believe in the trinity.
It is not commanded of us to attend a church service every Sunday.
Let‘s look at what scripture does say.
@jimmiejoemike I struggle with this so much. Death itself terrifies me, so knowing that I’ll be dead until Jesus comes back and have no control over it is hard to grasp. I told my husband I want to pray that God puts us asleep together so when we get raised we‘re right next to each other. 🥹
"Come as you are" does NOT mean "stay as you are". You can come as a dirty sinner (= transgressor of the Law. What Law? TURAH!) to YaHUaH. But once you've come to Him, I fervently advice you not to keep constantly transgressing His Law. Stop eating pork. Keep the Sabbath & feasts
Sisters,
The Bible says your husband is your head...So make sure to crown him with honor and glory.
The Bible says your marriage bed is undefiled ...So make sure it doesn’t become uninviting or unused.
The Bible says your husband is your provider…So support his work and use his provision wisely and well.
The Bible says your husband is a lord and master...So submit to and obey him.
The Bible says your husband is to lead your household…So joyfully and trustingly follow him.
The Bible says you and your husband are one flesh…So do good to him all the days of your life.
The Bible says your husband is the glory of God... So show due praise and thanks to him.
And yes I am aware of the fact that we can confess our sins to one another. But I won't confess my sins to a Christian who thinks that the "Law/Turah has been done away with". It's so blasphemous to call a pastor etc. your "Father". He is of another father; the father of all lies
Have I been obedient the way Christians define it?
Nope.
Have I been obedient the way God defines it?
Yup.
As soon as some Christian says "you haven't kept God's law perfectly,"
you know it's a misrepresentation of what Gods said.
It also makes a mockery of what Jesus said.
"Repent and believe the gospel," "go and sin no more," and "obey Gods commandments," all become nonsensical instructions under the false premise that you must "obey God perfectly."
CHURCH: "Acts 15:21 does NOT teach that Gentile believers need to learn the Torah in the synagogues every Sabbath!"
However...
👉 Acts 15:21 merely repeats the exact same teaching from Deut 31:12-13...
"Assemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the SOJOURNER [uncircumcised] within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law, and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear the Lord your God, as long as you live in the land that you are going over the Jordan to possess.”
Deut 31 objectively proves that uncircumcised followers of God were taught the Torah.
👉 Acts 18:4 clearly shows that both Jews and Greeks attended synagogues on the Sabbath to learn the Torah.
"And he reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and tried to persuade Jews and GREEKS."
👉 James 2:2 states, "For if a man wearing a gold ring and fine clothing comes into your assembly".
The Greek word for "assembly" in this verse is "sunagógé" (synagogue), which is used 56x throughout the NT. It always means "synagogue". This obviously shows that James' readers were gathering in synagogues, which is where the Torah was taught.
Therefore, Acts 15:21 clearly conveys that Gentile believers were ordered by the Jerusalem council to learn the Torah in the synagogues every Sabbath.
I never imagined I’d be in a relationship where I feel this safe. He reminds me of my worth on the days I forget it, supports me through my mental health struggles without making me feel like a burden, and loves me in ways I didn’t know were possible. You are never “too much” for the person who truly loves you.
@kodsam95549@LeahLLavender The problem is Paul only said that wives should submit to their husbands and in the same breath mentioned husbands to love their wives.
That's a distinction.
@kodsam95549@LeahLLavender Paul never(!) mentions mutual submission in terms of marriage but merely relating to the assembly.
He could've easily clarified writing something along the lines of "wives and husbands should be in mutual submission to each other".
God’s will for young women is NOT to leave their father and mother at 18 to live in an unsupervised dorm, be indoctrinated into feminism/marxism, prepare for a job in the workforce, and go deeply into debt during their most beautiful and fertile years.
Pulling away sexually is not a valid reason for divorce. It shouldn’t be happening and I feel sorry for the men who have to endure it, but divorce should only be for adultery.
Otherwise, why are you getting married? Have people forgotten marriage is supposed to be forever?
I'm thinking about going to church this morning. Something occurred to me that I never thought of before, and that is how I am fake, in a way, when I go to church, just as I think that much of what goes on in churches on Sunday mornings is fake, and intended for emotional, hypnotic, and control only.
When I go to a church, I have to fake that the pastor has some authority over me. All of the Sunday morning experience is about worshipping the pastor as if he were "Jesus 2.0," and some denominations have doctrines that say very much that, in less trendy forms of speaking.
So, by driving across town and silently sitting through a ceremony, a self congratulatory business meeting, a set of announcements that tell me who the special people really are in this church club, and then a holy speech by the professional demigod that they pay to make the speech, I'm signaling that I submit to the "authority" of this pastor.
But what "authority" does a pastor have? Legal? Thank God no! In centuries past, when church and state were one, perhaps, but not here and not now in the USA, and thank the Founders for that.
In the church? Christian churches in the New Testament are not dictatorships ruled by one person. They are communities ruled by overseers, or elders as the more common term. Nowadays, elders seem to haunt churches more than lead them. They've outsourced their visible role to the professional ceremonial speech maker.
The truth is that the professional pastor has no authority over me at all; it's all pretend authority. The "authority" to give a speech, which may be brilliant oratory or just a rambling mess of public talking more than speaking. It doesn't matter if it's the latter because there is no feedback loop in place to improve anything.
But by being there, and sitting silently, knowing that I can never, ever ask a question, and never, ever, ever say anything to the group, I am basically feeding the narcissistic supply of the professional speaker. He gets to "aura farm" at my expense. His is the aura, and I am the farm. No audience farm; no aura.
I really hate feeling like just a field of dirt that someone else gets to grow their ego and their career in. Always the harvest for someone else at my expense, in time or money or both. That what so much of "church" is today.
@kodsam95549@servantofyh@LeahLLavender Notice how that’s above the section about husbands and wives? It’s separate.
Verse 23, the husband is the head of the wife. Paul tells husbands to love their wives, not submit to their wives.

@kodsam95549@servantofyh@LeahLLavender The easy answer is to not marry someone who you don’t want to obey. Not only are we supposed to, as He kindly pointed out, but we should want to. I belong to my husband, that’s the covenant we made when we got married.
You can stay celibate if you prefer.
@kodsam95549@servantofyh@LeahLLavender Hey! I’m @servantofyh‘s wife. I love obeying my husband, because I married someone who makes right and just decisions.
I am a free human being, yet there is nothing better than having my husband make the important decisions for me. I know he‘ll choose right for our family.
