@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist Cherry picking CCC is like cherry picking scripture. The unity of the body of believers is based on scripture and follows the teachings of Jesus

@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist Mediator is Christ intercessor is a different role as I’ve explained previously, Saints, Mary are intercessors for us, Jesus is mediator for us with the Father
@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist shows us he has used many for his glory - Moses,
David, Mary, the apostles etc to be in communion with each other and with God
@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist The saints are the believers in Christ, alive and dead, so again to pray for one another and petition for one another is biblical and that includes those that have gone before us - the communion of saints. Does God need it? No he doesn’t but he is a triune God and scripture
@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist But it does because that pathway has now been forged by Jesus meaning we are in communion with God whereas those in the OT as you stated were awaiting the messiah from Abraham’s Bossom.
@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist I agree with most of what you have said, and yes only God is omnipotent but God has also shown He allows for prophecy and healing for example to the faithful, so interceding for another is not unthinkable in heaven as also shown in Rev 5:8 and 8:3-4
@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist Question: when our bodies die are we not part of the body of Christ therefore we live? It’s not necromancy because faithful who depart before us are not in fact dead but part of the resurrected living body of Christ
@blairchris@JtheFree@Mike_daPsalmist Wow how can you write so much in one post lol I only get a few sentences allowed 😂
See everything you wrote about prayer, mediator, intercession etc I don’t interpret with any contradiction with the CCCz It’s how it’s being interpreted. What do you believes happens when we die?
