Contract to transit Russian gas to Europe through Ukraine expires on December 31, 2024.

New high-resolution satellite imagery of the Moscow Oil Refinery reveals the scale of damage caused by several Ukrainian drone strikes two days ago.

At least two oil tanks were destroyed, another suffered significant damage, and two others suffered minor damage. Additionally, the bitumen production unit and some technical trestles were damaged.

The cloud cover makes it difficult to determine the full scale of the damage, but as usual, it's never as impressive as it seems in the videos of the large fires burning. Because they deal with such flammable materials, refineries are designed to be robust against fires.

Israeli airstrikes on the city of Nabatieh, southern Lebanon, following their failed attempts at capturing Ali al-Taher Hill.

This second IDF column attempted to attack the Ali al-Taher Hill on a new route, bypassing it via Manzleh and approaching it from the west.

The column was ambushed by ATGMs at the green square, prior to reaching the hill.

With daily Russian FPV strikes like these, it’s no wonder the body exchange ratios are so skewed. Ukrainian infantry assaults experience high fatality rates. Ukrainians prefer to abandon their dead, this forces Russians to pick up their corpses (after capturing the area) and send them back to the families.

Russian Geran-2 drones struck a Nova Poshta warehouse in Sumy City.

Russian sources claim it was being used for delivering and storing drones and their components for the Ukrainian military.

Regarding the situation in Rai-Oleksandrivka.

I've had several people ask me about the status of this key town east of Slovyansk following the recent geolocations of Russian flag raises and the claim of its capture by the Russian Ministry of Defence.

As of now, I can confirm that claims of its capture by Russian troops are false. It is definitely contested, but the scale of Russian control is currently unknown. I'm working to confirm which streets Russia has been able to consolidate on, if any.

It is known that the first Russian soldiers were able to enter the town in mid-April, but were unable to ever consolidate due to the presence of several uncleared Ukrainian strongpoints east of the town. Since then, the number of Russian soldiers present in the eastern streets has steadily increased, but because there are areas up to 7 km east of Rai-Oleksandrivka not yet under Russian control, I personally doubt the Russian control in the town is more than 50%.

For now, I have extended the grey-zone from the eastern streets to include most of the town. I will subsequently add any control zones for Russia if/when I am able to determine their extent.

Locations where Russian and Ukrainian soldiers have been present in the last week.

As you can see, Ukraine continues to maintain a presence in numerous positions and strongpoints east of Rai-Oleksandrivka, while Russian forces carry out deep infiltrations to the west.

Prior to this claim by the Russian MOD, the only stable Russian positions close to Rai-Oleksandrivka were in the gullies directly east of the town, and the trenches southwest of Kalenyky.

And, minutes after the beginning of the ceasefire, an Israeli airstrike targeted the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, 5 minutes after the beginning of the ceasefire.

The IDF claims it carried out over 150 airstrikes against southern and eastern Lebanon over the last 16 hours.

The fuel shortages for Russia in Crimea seem to be slowly improving.

A significant amount of fuel has been brought in via the Kerch Bridge, some of which is accompanied by mobile fire teams (this has also been recorded in other parts of occupied Ukraine).

Additionally, over the last few days, we have seen a decrease in the number of Ukrainian mid-range drone strikes on Crimea, which can likely be at least partially attributed to this increase in mobile fire team activity.
