It's quite something when a government appears to celebrate tearing apart the families of international care workers.
Only investment in services will deliver for patients, not anti-migrant politics.
We're commissioning independent research into nursing and midwifery students’ practice learning requirements✨
The NMC is seeking an independent Chair of an external steering group for the project.

“Ms. Braverman is trying to poison the soul of everyone for her own very narrow political survival”. I don’t always agree with @yanisvaroufakis but this is absolutely stunning.
Gorgeous day for a nurses’ strike outside Great Ormond St Hospital. So grateful for their unmatched care & skill. Now let’s get them the fucking pay rise they deserve & that the nation can *easily* afford. Austerity is a choice so change your mind or get in the bin!✊🏼❤️@theRCN
“If we are going to do the right thing by patients and address the seven million waiting lists right across this country. Patients deserve better and our profession deserves better.”
@patcullen9 speaks to @BBCBreakfast on the first day of the #RCNStrike
“I’m extremely disappointed at the belligerence that was shown. They closed their books and walked away from then nursing profession this afternoon.”
@patcullen9 speaks to @BBCNews following meeting with the Health Secretary
Ambulance Strike:
@BBCBreakfast
"Are you saying if people dial '999' they might not get an ambulance?"
Gary Smith (GMB)..
"We are saying they probably won't get one now, and we're not on strike today"
#NHS
Nurses will feel sickened to see their profession pitted against others in a deeply unpleasant political game.
Their good name and immense public support must not be misused.
My mum passed away from cancer during the lockdown & we were only allowed 30 people at her funeral. We weren’t even allowed to sit together. She had NO visitors leading up to her death. The fact that ITV think it’s acceptable to put Matt Hancock on I’m a Celeb is disgusting.
The Royal College of Nursing has said its strike will affect the majority of NHS employers as nurses take action over pay levels and patient safety concerns.

WOW. The tide is turning and the wave of workers are rising ✊
Our key workers deserve a hell of a lot more than claps on the back. We stand with you @theRCN
The new Chancellor is all too aware of the lack of investment and severe workforce crisis in the NHS and in wider health and social care. We urge him to tackle these problems immediately, starting with #FairPayforNursing https://t.co/B7CJKy2dr2
"What an indictment on a society to actually keep patients in the backs of ambulances, simply because we have turned our back on nursing staff."
@theRCN's General Secretary @patcullen9 spoke to @TrevorPTweets on @SkyNews about why nurses are being balloted across the UK
300,000+ nurses will receive ballot papers today in the first Royal College of Nursing (@theRCN) strike ballot in its 106-year history.
They've been pushed to the brink: From relying on foodbanks, to a staffing crisis that puts patients at risk.
Solidarity with the nurses! 🤍
"Nurses are trying every day to provide the best safe care for their patients. They can't do that with the depleted workforce that they've got at this point in time."
@theRCN's @patcullen9 spoke to @BBCBreakfast on why nurses are being balloted for strike action, starting today.
On way to #cpc22 with no idea what “dabbling in politics” means but with every intention of explaining to politicians how the current economic meltdown will cause homelessness & what they can do about it. Definitely not “dabbling”, never fear: it’s serious https://t.co/wc7smC9exM
