The primary mission of a Marine Corps Infantry Officer is to command and lead ground combat units. They are responsible for training Marines, developing battle plans, and coordinating firepower to decisively close with and destroy the enemy.
On April 25, 1992, the U.S. Navy submarine force celebrated the completion of 3,000 strategic deterrent patrols. The historic milestone was achieved by the Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine USS Tennessee (SSBN-734). I was on that patrol and received my dolphins during that ceremony.
