Announcing our new AEO MCP! Access all of your visibility, citation, and opportunity data directly in your chat.

Two consequences worth acting on: track AI Overviews and AI Mode as separate engines (they retrieve and cite differently), and score visibility on mention and citation rate, not referral sessions.

An AI Overview now appears on about 43% of US searches. A year ago it was 15%.

Pew found clicks drop from 15% to 8% when a summary appears — and that was measured when the surface was a third the size.

The click isn't coming back. The mention still works.

Our write-up, plus four cheap fixes to a prompt set: https://t.co/Vzp4xEzxC2

[Elmo @TryElmo]

Every AI visibility tool sends prompts with no history.

New research: the final prompt in a real conversation carries a median 36% of what the user actually said. Half the time a stated constraint (budget, location, a ruled-out competitor) never appears in it.

@TryElmo reached 200 stars!

Elmo v0.2.14 is released! We now fully support @Oxylabs_io and @dataforseo scrapers for ChatGPT/Perplexity/Google. Thanks to our new contributors as well!

@TryElmo Getting Elmo to show up for general AEO / GEO prompts is much more difficult, but that little blip is a start!
