@Lilyisfun@Geezaws2@amazongames I said I'm willing to bet, not that it was a fact. And I'm basing this off of the fact that A.I is literally being pushed into everything these days. It's reasonable to assume most gaming studios will use it too.
@Lilyisfun@Geezaws2@amazongames I'm willing to bet 80-95% of gaming studios use A.I to assist with development (and many of them will hide that fact). It makes no sense to not take advantage of it.
@SlySebby The problem isn't that you're playing as a woman. The problem is that it doesn't look like a God of War game. It feels like it's trying way too hard to be silly/lighthearted, and that's not what the franchise typically goes for.
It'd be much more accepted if it were a new IP.
@ViHero340@kjngamer As I've said, it is a me problem.
But a lot of other people have an issue with it too. It shouldn't be surprising fans of the OG will not have interest in this new one.
@ViHero340@kjngamer Miles Morales is Spider-Man though. He's different from Peter, but still Spider-Man. So it makes sense to leave in the Spider-Man title. "God of War" doesn't make sense when we're not playing as the "God of War" taking down all other gods in a brutal fashion.
@ViHero340@kjngamer I can't care about story and world building if the gameplay/combat experience isn't fun. Ragnarok is the ONLY God of War game I decided not to platinum because it was not fun to play as a Kratos that felt weaker.. or as Atreus who took up too much of the game's runtime.
@ViHero340@kjngamer Taking place in the universe doesn't mean a whole lot if the game they're presenting is a far cry from what the series used to be. The pet reptile squirrel, the talking cube, the tin-can enemies made of lava... it lacks impact. But that's a me problem. Others will enjoy it.
@ViHero340@kjngamer All of that would be perfectly fine if Kratos still felt like a powerful force of nature like he did in the Greek games. I understand from the narrative why he holds back and games feel softer, but that hurts the overall game experience imo. It's not as fun as GOW3.
@ViHero340@kjngamer Honestly, yeah. :/
They shouldn't use the God of War title. If someone told me it was a new IP, I'd believe it.. and may even be bit more interested in playing it. But no, I personally don't accept it as God of War.
@ViHero340@kjngamer I give Second Son a pass because it's genuinely fun and still felt like what a Infamous game should be. I did not enjoy the Marvel-style feeling this new "God of War" gave off. It feels much softer than the Greek games, and that would naturally throw a lot of people off.
@ViHero340@kjngamer Which is fine. But everyone is free to give their opinions on the matter, whether they like what's going on or not. There are exceptions, but I generally don't care for games being entirely different while using the popular name to get sales.
@ViHero340@kjngamer Sure.
Even still, I did not enjoy Lost Legacy at all. I gave it an honest chance, and I even platinumed it... but it did not feel the same without Nathan Drake. Uncharted should've been done after U4 imo.
@ViHero340@kjngamer At the end of the day, the devs are free to do what they want, and people are free to enjoy what they've seen. I just personally don't care about God of War unless Kratos is the main playable character.
@ViHero340@kjngamer Infamous is different because Cole Macgrath only had 2 games and he died in Infamous 2. So it makes sense for Infamous Second Son to star someone new (even though it doesn't make sense for a sequel to be possible). Kratos had 7 games where it was just him, and he's a PS icon.
