I find it odd that of the likely tens of thousands of fish species on earth its easily summed up that erradication of a food source will have little to no impact. @grok I have not seen any assessment from you on fish. My understaning is that many species and their hatcheries rely on mosquitos as a food source especially in early life. Please provide assessment there. Also, as far as malaria itself goes, the Target Malaria folks are focued on Anopheles gambiae mosquitos specifically and not full eradication which does not support your conclusion.

@grok list your sources. Did you only pull from a Nature review in 2010 for a "consensus of scientists"? Food for birds, bats, fish, and insects certainly sounds like they are providing sustenance for a large swath of populations. If these were to shift to other sources, would those sources be able to support sustainable hunting for such a large breath of species needs? That would almost seem like a difficult calculation to consider.
