यौन उत्पीड़न, कपड़े खींचना और निजी अंगों पर हमला - लोकतंत्र के लिए आवाज़ उठाने वाली छात्राओं और महिलाओं के साथ दिल्ली पुलिस की बर्बरता शर्मनाक हदें पार कर रही है।

यह सब आवाज़ों को दबाने की उस साजिश का हिस्सा है, जिसमें इतना डरा दो, इतना अपमानित करो कि कोई दोबारा सवाल उठाने की हिम्मत ही न करे।

मोदी-शाह जानते हैं कि जिस दिन सत्ता हाथ से गई, उस दिन उनकी मनमानी की कहानी खत्म। उनका यही डर पुलिस तक पहुँचता है और हिंसा बनकर देश के युवाओं और महिलाओं पर टूट रहा है।

Amit Shah ji tells the nation that SIR is about catching infiltrators.

But an investigation by The Reporters’ Collective found that the Election Commission’s own software used during Bengal’s SIR hearings had no option to mark anyone a non-citizen. RTI replies from over a hundred electoral officers in Bihar produced no records of non-citizens identified through SIR either.

In Bilaspur, 23 migrant workers from Bengal were detained as suspected “Bangladeshis”. Every single one was eventually released. The last four spent 33 days in detention.

We have seen this film before.

Demonetisation was meant to catch black money, and 99.3% of the banned notes came back.

SIR is meant to catch infiltrators, but after deleting crores of names, the Election Commission has still not publicly accounted for how many infiltrators it actually identified.

Both times, ordinary Indians were made to stand in queues to prove themselves.

Infiltration is the smokescreen. Cutting votes is the plan. This is vote chori.

Maybe the next chapter of Dhurandhar will show a pile of infiltrators’ voter cards going up in flames, followed by a high-voltage item song. That is the only place they seem able to find them.

Amit Shah ji, how many infiltrators did SIR actually catch? Give us the number.

India's External Affairs Minister is "expected" to travel to Mumbai to meet the US Secretary of State. We heard this from the US Ambassador, not from our own govt.

Mr Rubio is not coming to our capital. His other stop is a meeting with Reliance in Jamnagar.

Between two sovereign nations, diplomacy happens in the capital, on equal terms, and our own govt announces it. A guest does not set the venue, and the meeting does not sit beside a corporate visit.

चार साल से अपनी बेटी के लिए न्याय मांग रहे माता पिता को दिल्ली पुलिस ने सुबह चार बजे इंडिया गेट से उठा लिया।

अंकिता के माता पिता की मांग बस इतनी थी कि CBI जांच पूरी होने तक राजभवन की नियुक्ति रोक दी जाए। यह किसी शोकाकुल परिवार का सबसे बुनियादी अधिकार है कि न्याय की प्रक्रिया पूरी होने तक उसे भरोसा मिले।

एक बेटी के न्याय से बड़ा कोई पद नहीं होता।

जो सरकार एक मां बाप के शांत धरने से डर जाए, वो असल में किस सच से डर रही है?

सुबह के 4 बजे। जब दुनिया सो रही थी, तब अंकिता भंडारी के माता-पिता को हिरासत में ले लिया गया।

उनका गुनाह? वे इंडिया गेट पर चुपचाप बैठे थे - बोझिल कंधों के साथ, बिना किसी हंगामे के और सिर्फ़ इतना माँग रहे थे कि CBI जाँच पूरी होने तक दुष्यंत गौतम को सिक्किम का राज्यपाल न बनाया जाए।

कल मैं और प्रियंका इन माता-पिता से मिले थे।

जिस जाँच का नतीजा आया नहीं, उसके पहले ही नियुक्ति की जल्दी और सवाल पूछने वाले माँ-बाप को रात के अंधेरे में उठा लिया गया।
इस सरकार की पहचान यही है: पीड़ितों की आवाज़ दबा दो, सवाल करने वालों को हटा दो।

पर न्याय की लड़ाई न दबेगी, न रुकेगी।
कांग्रेस अंकिता भंडारी के परिवार के साथ खड़ी है, और खड़ी रहेगी - जब तक उन्हें न्याय नहीं मिलता।

I’d like to thank every single person who came out today for this protest. I'd also like to thank the millions of people who showed support in their own way at 3pm. Thank you to the leaders of INDIA bloc, all the workers of the Congress party and workers of the INDIA bloc.

Today was a very important day because we needed to show the government that the people of India are not going to be intimidated. You cannot beat us, threaten us, frighten us. We will not accept being bullied.

I was wondering where the cowards of the RSS who were beating the young children day before yesterday were. Where were those people? Because I didn’t see them.

When we are standing there and when the people of India are standing there, why don’t you come out? Why don’t you wear your little scarves and come out and see what happens?

Because you’re essentially, like the Prime Minister of India, bullies. You cannot stand up. You can only use power to fight.

So, it’s very heartening to see what happened. I’m proud of everybody. Everybody worked like a team.

As I said in my press conference, there are no parallel protests. It’s one protest, and it’s a protest where everybody is standing together. Every single person is going to stand against these killers of our Constitution, these killers of our democracy. And we’re not going to back down.

I’d also like to thank everybody from civil society organisations who came, supported us. We value your support, and we love all of you.

Thank you all for coming out and defending the idea of India, the idea of the Constitution, the idea of our democracy.

I’m extremely proud of every single person who came out on the streets. Thank you.

आज के इस विरोध प्रदर्शन में शामिल होने वाले हर एक व्यक्ति का मैं दिल से धन्यवाद करना चाहता हूँ। उन करोड़ों लोगों का भी धन्यवाद, जिन्होंने दोपहर 3 बजे अपने-अपने तरीके से इस आंदोलन को समर्थन दिया। INDIA गठबंधन के नेताओं, कांग्रेस पार्टी के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं और INDIA गठबंधन के तमाम कार्यकर्ताओं का भी बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद।

आज का दिन बेहद महत्वपूर्ण था, क्योंकि हमें सरकार को यह दिखाना था कि भारत की जनता डरने वाली नहीं है। आप हमें मारिए, धमकाइए, डराने की कोशिश कीजिए, लेकिन हम डरने वाले नहीं हैं। हम आपकी गुंडागर्दी बर्दाश्त नहीं करेंगे।

मैं सोच रहा था कि RSS के वो कायर लोग कहाँ थे, जो परसों हमारे युवा साथियों को पीट रहे थे? कहाँ थे वो लोग? आज तो मुझे उनमें से कोई दिखाई नहीं दिया।

जब हम वहाँ खड़े हैं, जब देश की जनता वहाँ खड़ी है, तो तुम बाहर क्यों नहीं आते? अपनी छोटी-छोटी गमछियाँ पहनकर क्यों नहीं बाहर आते हो और देखते हो कि क्या होता है?

क्योंकि तुम भी देश के प्रधानमंत्री की तरह सिर्फ़ गुंडागर्दी करना जानते हो। तुममें सामने आकर खड़े होने की हिम्मत नहीं है। तुम सिर्फ़ सत्ता और ताक़त के दम पर लड़ सकते हो।

इसलिए आज जो कुछ हुआ, उसे देखकर बहुत खुशी होती है। मुझे आप सभी पर गर्व है। सबने एक टीम की तरह काम किया।

जैसा कि मैंने अपनी प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस में कहा था, ये अलग-अलग प्रदर्शन नहीं हैं। यह एक ही आंदोलन है, जिसमें हम सब एक साथ खड़े हैं।

हममें से हर एक व्यक्ति संविधान के इन हत्यारों, हमारे लोकतंत्र को कुचलने वालों के ख़िलाफ़ खड़ा होगा। और हम एक कदम भी पीछे नहीं हटेंगे।

मैं उन सभी सिविल सोसाइटी संगठनों का भी दिल से धन्यवाद करना चाहता हूँ, जो आज हमारे साथ आए और जिन्होंने हमारा समर्थन किया। आपके समर्थन की हम कद्र करते हैं। हम आप सभी से मोहब्बत करते हैं।

आज कनॉट प्लेस से सुप्रीम कोर्ट तक इंडिया गठबंधन का मार्च सिर्फ़ विपक्ष का कार्यक्रम नहीं है, ये हर उस नागरिक की आवाज़ है जो अपने वोट को अपना सबसे बड़ा संवैधानिक अधिकार मानता है।

कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष श्री मल्लिकार्जुन खरगे जी और श्री राहुल गांधी जी इस लड़ाई में सबसे आगे खड़े हैं। अब बारी हमारी है कि हम उनके साथ कदम मिलाएं।

सरकार ने मेट्रो स्टेशनों के दरवाज़े बंद कर दिए, लेकिन लोकतंत्र के रास्ते कोई बंद नहीं कर सकता। जो सरकार शांतिपूर्ण मार्च से डरती है, उसे जनता की ताकत का अंदाज़ा है।

दिल्ली की सड़क पर एक लड़की को ज़मीन पर गिराकर BJP RSS के गुंडे मारते रहे और पुलिस खड़ी देखती रही।

जिस पुलिस का काम हर नागरिक की रक्षा करना है, वही सवाल पूछने वाले युवाओं को हिरासत में ले रही है और हिंसक तत्वों के सामने चुप है।

कानून सबके लिए बराबर है, फिर हमला करने वाला कोई भी हो।

लोकतंत्र में बेटियों को सड़क पर पिटते देखना किसी भी सरकार के लिए शर्म की बात है।

इन हमलावरों पर कार्रवाई कब होगी और पुलिस ने इन्हें रोका क्यों नहीं?

The core characteristic of these people is cowardice.

Mr. Modi, do whatever you want. Call out all the police: 10,000, 20,000, 50,000, whatever you want.

We are surrounding you, and we are not going to back down. Mark my words: we already have the information we need.
