Meet 33 year old Dr Nonjabulo Ndaba from Pietermaritzburg,KZN. She is officially the youngest PhD graduate at UKZN and the first Black South African woman in SA to earn a doctorate in Occupational Therapy.

Due to her exceptional research back in 2019, she was awarded the New Generation of Academics Scholarship Programme (NGAP) to begin her Doctorate journey🎓

All the hard work has paid off as today she is employed full time as a Senior lecturer at UKZN’s School of Health Sciences, (focusing on paediatric health), guiding Honors and Masters students.

She has presented her groundbreaking PhD research to experts & scholars at local and international conferences🏅

Dr Ndaba, is also the Co-chairperson of the KwaZulu-Natal branch of the Occupational Therapy Association of South Africa (OTASA)🏅
