@Nataly_643 Very true, the installment of the UBI would already have it's expenses by basically handing money out to people. If people choose to become more lazy and lose motivation to work, the bigger problem would be compensation for the lack of productivity.
#APLangdiscussion#AtlasAp
@Nataly_643 I agree with a stable job for everyone, more people will have a chance to keep their head up and not live in poverty any longer.
#APLangdiscussion#AtlasAp
Negatives that would be carried with UBI are that people may lose motivation if money is basically given to them. Less will want to work for their income and this will just increase the cost that would already be piled up with UBI becoming a reality.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
UBI would foster an increase in job employment and a great decrease in the poverty that circulates our world. With a secure job, more people will be able to provide for themselves and less will be on the streets taking money.

@GoddardMadds True. Shootings have been so repetitive that our minds have become accustomed to hearing such news. Instead of fighting the tragic happenings that occur with gun usage, we turn our heads and choose to ignore the fatalities. It's honestly so shameful.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
@Samanth19902338 Very true. People and the gov't are stubborn and everyone wants to have their own beliefs to the point that no one agrees with one another anymore. It makes it difficult to come to a "right" solution b/c there is no one way that everyone will be happy.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
I think that some factors that have led to the immense gun usage, would have to be the gov't leniency when it comes to guns. Even with the plethora of deaths that have taken place, no strict law has been enforced which is absurd.
#APLangdiscussion#AtlasAP
One of the most important statistics is that there have been over 1600 mass shootings and on avg. we have one a day. That's insane that so many of the U.S. citizens that own guns, tend to be the cause of all the family fatalities that have taken place.
#AtlasAP#APLangdiscussion
@penaangela2002@GoddardMadds Well said. We often are not empathetic with the things that do not impact us as individuals. We need to stop waiting for a change to magically appear over time and take action. This is what #BlackLivesMatter allows to happen gradually.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
@Stacy16378559 I agree. The movement has shown the things that need to change, we can not just ignore the pain that has been caused to innocent families. #BlackLivesMatter is yet another way to advocate for a shift that will better us all as a human race.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
@MBaezaAngel I concur. The issue has been noticed and with this has come action to move along the movement and allow the problem to slowly dissipate. In a way, though, the problem is still a problem. People are still dying and we have not fully moved it along.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
Whether the #BlackLivesMatter movement has been successful depends how you look at it. In a way, yes, the problem has been recognized and advocated for even on T.V. On the other hand, it's still a problem: people are still dying and racism still lives.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
A main event that led to the #BlackLivesMatter movement were the police shootings that took place one after another. Innocent black lives, many kids, were taken for "looking" suspicious. Even worse in the aftermath, justice was not served for them.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
@AraizaDestany Agreed, with the initiation of the GND more people can take action and be a part of the movement that will generate a healthier country. In the past we have all built onto the mountain of pollution, but coming together could truly make a difference.
#AtlasAP#ApLangDiscussion
@Stacy16378559 I agree, what we put into the world is what we will get out of it in the future. Our lack of care for our world is beginning to show and the GND will be a way to slowly, but surely make up for the past mistakes.
#ApLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
@MarleeneSaenz I agree, the deal would for sure be the start of something new and a brighter future for the U.S. environment. It will bring on a better mind set for humans to be more conscientious of how we treat our surroundings as well.
#ApLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
1. Our environment will be cleaner than it has been in the past decades. Pollution has always been on an uprising with the usage of diff. GHG's, but with the deal it would start a domino effect that'll create for a healthier country and later, world.
#APLangDiscussion#AtlasAP
5. Passing the Green Deal would positively impact the U.S. environment that we occupy on a daily basis. This will look forward to a cleaner country and would be seen as a more eco-friendly influence to everyone around.
#AtlasAP#ApLangDiscussion
@Jennife87206173 Agreed. Violence would only increase causing the criminal rates to spiral. People need to think about the consequences before just making things legal because of the money.
#AtlasAP#APLangDiscussion
@Samanth19902338 I agree. With legalizing this, there will be consequences that will hinder more people than it will help. Gambling should not be promoted but it will be if it's legalized everywhere.
