Alhamdulillah! I can’t imagine experiencing what she had to a still smiling as a first time candidate but respect her grace and resilience and I am very proud of her. We are very lucky to have a principled leader and someone who understands who it means to be a leader carrying for their whole constituency. Congratulations sis and welcome to Congress!

How could Trump do this
I have lobbied to close the three Hong Kong Economic and Trade Offices (HKETOs) in America. I was told Congress must pass a bill to do that. Sentencing Jimmy Lai 20 years in prison will get Congress motivated to pass such a bill this year.
Today, the Subcommittee on International Human Rights unanimously passed a motion condemning the 20-year prison sentence imposed on Jimmy Lai and reaffirming our call for his immediate release.
Jimmy Lai is a prisoner of conscience. His only “crime” was standing up for freedom, democracy, and a free press in Hong Kong.
Canada must continue to speak with moral clarity and hold the CCP to account for its repression and brutality.

Jimmy Lai's 20-year prison sentence is profoundly unjust. He has held fast to his faith & advocated for freedom even when faced with the CCP's arbitrary imprisonment. After a two-year trial & over five years in captivity, Mr. Lai & his family have suffered enough.
🙏Thank you to Alexis Brunelle-Duceppe and all members of the Sub-Committee on Human Rights for today unanimously adopting this condemnation of Jimmy Lai's 20 year prison sentence and for reaffirming their call for his immediate release.
This unanimous message says it clearly: across party lines, Canadians want to defend human rights and secure Jimmy Lai’s freedom.

@stephenasmith Strange to see no Democrats requiring Trump's resignation. In other nations, if happened as this, President must be forced to resign immediately.
Pres. Trump’s disapproval rating has reached 55%. That's up from 43% when he was inaugurated on January 20th, 2025.
TRUMP’S TARIFFS, CONTINUED INFLATION, & GREENLAND ADVENTURISM ARE GOING OVER LIKE A LEAD BALLOON.

@SenJackyRosen Japan, the victims of gunshot in 2024 was two as total, the number of deaths within this month in Minnesota as 3 has already passed over. If puplic officers killed innocent civilians as cases in these, almost every Japanese citizens would require abolishing the office.,no doubt.
Pence visited Taiwan in January—just days before Trump's inauguration—urging the incoming administration to bolster defenses against CCP threats and warning that Taiwan's fall could spark a nuclear arms race across Asia.

"I think Starmer has established a very good personal relationship with Trump."
Starmer's good relationship with Trump deserves "credit" because it has been a "very difficult" task for other leaders, says former National Security Advisor John Bolton.

On this day three years ago, Russians committed one of the most brutal atrocities of the war — murdering over 50 captive Ukrainian prisoners of war: Azov soldiers at the Oleniivka detention facility. Also injuring over 130, Russian guards then mocked the dying, denying them medical care, sitting by while our defenders died in agony.
Today, for the first time, marks the Day of Mourning and Remembrance for the Defenders of Ukraine — honoring defenders, volunteers, and civilians who were executed, tortured, or died in Russian captivity.
Our memory is long — as is the arm of justice.
