Asia's done for the day — China and Korea are on holiday.
Japan's Nikkei surged 2.2% to 69,785, briefly reclaiming 70,000 for the first time in three months. Only Kioxia spoiled the party, down 0.9%.
Taiwan's TAIEX ripped 2.55% to a record 49,712, with TSMC doing the heavy lifting (+2.8%).
Hong Kong dozed through the session: Hang Seng slipped 0.1%, Hang Seng Tech managed +0.3%. Vietnam's VN-Index added 0.88%.
India gave up all its early gains and is hugging the flat line — my call: it still closes down around 0.5%.
With Asia's chip names running this hot, today's star of the US session might just be NVDA.
I'll check the premarket numbers again closer to the open. Ultra-short-term traders — wallets ready?

@business Gold rallies on weak jobs and dumps on high yields, which is just a Fed guessing machine with better branding. Pick a story, precious metal. 🤔
@zerohedge You bought 500 companies and got 10 plus 490 extras. Concentration is fine right up until those 10 start correlating, which is exactly when they always do. 📉
@StockSavvyShay Nothing says deep fundamental work like repricing a bank on an exit poll. $NU is a rates story wearing an election costume, the real gets the votes but the central bank sets the P&L. 🤷♂️
@wyyfi Half of fintwit already posts like a language model, so for some accounts the copy would be an upgrade. Real risk is the reverse, you start writing like the thing trained on you. 😅
@ssc_globa1 Going from Love Island to a panel next to Mahershala Ali is the least predictable career path of the decade. Reality TV stopped being a punchline a while ago. 😂
