@I_Despise_Red@SoftFurSunlight Good for you, but they didn't. She flailed her legs, that's it. Gangle didn't care at all, and Ragatha was her normal self the next scene. Nobody in the circus cared. It was given zero narrative weight because there was no trauma involved whatsoever.
@TheRealMediin@JesseGolo Don't cry about splitting hairs when your analogy was dog shit. Stabbing a paralyzed person in the leg is potentially even fatal. Beating them can also have unforeseen consequences. Moreover, it's PAINFUL.
In the circus, they can practically ignore being boiled in oil.
@Minsakuss@TheDragonTYRANT No it isn't, lmao. Ragatha comes out unscathed the next scene. Jax does it in front of Gangle, who completely disregards it because... there are no consequences.
The way some of you completely trivialize what being a murderer entails is almost disgusting.
@SoftFurSunlight I said you can shrug off being dunked in oil, which Ragatha did after being in there for a minute straight. Did YOU watch the show?
Pain is muted beyond belief, none of these acts are analogous to what they'd be in real life, and yes, Jax is very much just a bully.
@Nicoelencerrado@st4rgaze_MZT@SoftFurSunlight People will tell you yes, but that's disingenuous.
They can feel pain, but it's also muted beyond belief. Many scenes that should be painful have no consequences beyond mild frustration at best.
@mudtrout00 Lot of coping in this thread about TADC being a serious show. A few of these scenes are tonally dire, but much of this is barely a notch above cartoon violence and never given the emotional weight that abuse entails in spite of that being what it is... just like Looney Tunes.
@Shortcakeberrys@mudtrout00 They feel SOME pain, yes, but a minute fraction, if any at all. Some of you act like Ragatha actually felt herself being fried in oil as a living person would, when that is not even remotely the case.
@Ironyfodays@Jagaimo_NoOwari@jamex04323193@467Doggo It's moot because Jax killed no one. Nobody. Not a single member. We are not shown that he wanted Ribbit to abstract. Kaufmo had even more baggage beyond Jax ignoring him.
His mean girl act had a hand in their suicide, but this is not morally tantamount to murder.
@dragonage2ftw@shell_lazy@robsmediayt What's wrong, loser? Why so defensive you need to respond to people in this thread a dozen times over? Can't cope without shitting your pants? Of course not.
@Guidovoolik@Zoros_husband Jax IS just a bully, and no one is contesting that it isn't bad to be one. Jax just isn't an irredeemable villain, that's the point. This fandom has completely infantilized what it means and takes to be unapologetically evil.
