My wife said "you said no to a children's hospital, veterans, education, and families in need today"

I said "no. I said no to four corporations who want me to fund their goodwill so they can put it in their annual report"

She was quiet

Then she said "you're not wrong"

I said "I know"

She said "but you're still going to look like a monster"

I said "I'd rather look like a monster than quietly fund a billion-dollar company's PR strategy at the register"

She didn't disagree

But she didn't look at me either

NEW: Movers for a Phoenix moving company spot an Amber Alert suspect at a QuikTrip, jump into action and block her car until police arrive.

The movers and a security guard are being credited for saving 2-year-old Kehlani Rogers from her kidnapper.

23-year-old Marina Noriega was arrested for the abduction.

According to the child's parents, Noriega was a transient who was staying at their house because she had nowhere to go.

She then disappeared with their daughter.

When Noriega was arrested, she told law enforcement that the girl was her long-lost daughter. She later admitted that she took the girl without giving a reason.

Foremen Ralph Vollmert and Kevin Place, who stopped at the QuikTrip, say they heard a security guard on the phone with police, saying he believed the girl was abducted.

"Our trucks are 28, 30 feet long, so we knew it was a good idea to put the truck there just because there's just nowhere you could go after that," they said

"It just breaks our heart because we have kids ourselves…nobody ever wants a kid to be harmed or to be hurt or to be mistreated."

Fireworks turned night into day in the Vietnamese city of Thanh Hóa

This little girl was walking her grandma who is wheelchair bound when a black SUV comes up behind them. A man dressed in all black gets out of the SUV
and grabs her from behind then puts her in the back seat. The grandmother tried to fight back as much as she could. Some heroes pull up on a motorcycle and block the SUV’s path. They are able to remove the man from the drivers seat and get the girl out of the back to safety.

I believe this little girl had angels watching over her. 🙏🏼🙏🏼

🇻🇳 Vietnam officially finds cure for blood cancer - leukemia

Due to the urgency of the girl's case, there was no time for lengthy testing.

In a hospital in Vietnam, a 12 year old girl was very sick with blood cancer (that's leukemia)

The cancer kept coming back, even after strong medicine and a special gift of blood cells from her dad was given to her.

Then the doctors decided to try something new called CAR-T treatment.

They took some of the girl's own fighter cells ( that's the ones that help fight sickness) out of her blood. They sent those cells to medical scientists in Taiwan.

When the cells arrived, these scientist gave the fighter cells a special lock that could find and stick only to the bad cancer cells.They made millions of these fighter cells and put them back into the girl through a little tube in her arm.

The fighters then went looking for the cancer, found it, grabbed it, and destroyed it.

After some hard days with fever and doctors watching her closely, all the cancer disappeared.

She became the first kid in Vietnam to get better this way. When other treatments didn't work, her own body, with a little help, became the hero that saved her.

Now other sick kids and even adults alike might have this same chance too.

This is an huge breakthrough in the medical world.
