@treasurwd I think it would depend on how many loops deep they are, and if Walpy's alive. Early-timeline Madoka just had her Witch be absorbed into Walpurgisnacht upon hatching, so I guess it's only independent if Walpy's dead when it hatches or it's strong enough to not get absorbed?

@treasurwd FYI Sadness Prayer is like a remake of Oriko Magica. The only thing that the original has going for it is that it has a pretty unique artstyle compared to other spinoffs. I'd recommend reading it, even though Sadness Prayer is kinda hard to find (not on Mangadex)

@treasurwd Have you ever considered... Tengen as Oriko and Yuki as Kirika? Just something to keep in mind. If you don't know who they are, they're from Oriko Magica/OriMagi Extra Story/OriMagi Sadness Prayer. They're good, especially Sadness Prayer is probably the "best" spinoff.

@treasurwd @Ajikzy Fyi MagiReco is really fucking long (the game story, not the anime) so I:$ recommend leaving it for last, and checking out some of the spinoff manga first. The Different Story is probably the most important one (four chapters of a Mami and Kyoko prequel, eight of an alt timeline)

Given that Futaba (Sadness Prayer) couldn't heal her scars via magic and needed Mio Suzuna to remove them using her wish, if Homura had a scar when she contracted, she'd still have it now.

@ShwiftyTyler @mdhmpilled But since only the first few chapters (which heavily feature the rest of the Quintet) are translated to English, (we have them up to 19 or so in Spanish thanks to the wonderful Crisis en Madokas Infinitas) then obvi the eng side of the fandom gets a skewed experience.

@ShwiftyTyler @mdhmpilled then that's hypocritical. Personally, I like MEL, I don't have an issue with Sayaka and Kyosuke since Portable established their relationship could work, and I think having Yuma be Kyoko's kid in this universe is neat. And the other stuff is easy enough to ignore.

@DuckyDumDum @Maxuki690 I dunno about the others, but Sonic is straight-up one to one from the games and was canonically actually personally imported by Cat God, so I think we get actual full Sonic scaling.
