据美国军方情报部门1月16日透露，韩国戒严部队在12月3日宣布戒严期间与美军联合行动突袭了选举训练所，逮捕了99名中国公民。被拘留者随后被移交给美国当局。

一位熟悉此事的美国军方内部人士向该媒体证实，“这99名中国间谍通过平泽港被运送到日本冲绳的美军基地。”

据报道，在美军审讯期间，这些人承认了与干预选举有关的所有指控。
