It was a privilege to spend a couple of hours with the lovely and talented @tubemapper at my old haunt Earl’s Court; ‘the Crewe of the Underground’. We chatted about my almost 30 years at @TfL (good skincare 😜) including 8 years at Earl’s Court, and of course my books
And the answer is...
Earl's Court
Here's Joe explaining why it's his favourite for my favourite stations project. The full video is on my YouTube page.
Guess the London Underground Station?
Hello let's play another guessing game. We will again focus on a single tube station. This is TFL worker Joe's favourite station.

I love these escalators leading into the Elizabeth line station at Canary Wharf. In person they've always appeared green to me, but with Andreya in a yellow dress they seemed to take on a much warmer yellow tone. It's fascinating how surrounding colours can influence what we see

It's officially July, so it's time to turn the page in the Tube Mapper Calendar
This month's photograph was taken from the pedestrian bridge leading to Poplar Docklands Light Railway station. Have you ever watched the sunset from here? If not, it's well worth adding to your list
Tunnel Vision
While exploring Stonebridge Park London Underground station with my friend Sarah, we stumbled upon these beautiful tile patterns lining the platform tunnel.
I haven't been able to uncover the story behind the design yet, but if I do, I'll be sure to share it!

Dried Raindrops
As I passed Hampstead Heath London Overground station, the dried raindrops on the window caught my eye. They turned the view beyond into something that felt more like a painting than a photograph.
Way Out
A unique perspective overlooking the platform at Holland Park station. The monochrome tones create a timeless feel that really suits the scene.
What's so visually appealing about the London Underground?
I get asked this all the time. The underground is like a beautiful living museum full of old and new. So much to visually discover and I enjoy trying to share what I love about the network through my photography.
