Brandon Aubrey and the Dallas Cowboys reached agreement today on a deal that will make Aubrey the highest paid kicker in NFL history. 1/ Remote athlete @tucktuck6 opening his velocity phase at 96.1 with the 100g plyo ball.

During 2020–2022, when he lived 93–94 mph:

His lower-half engine — peak CoG velocity + lead-knee extension angular velocity — graded out around a 60 on the 20–80 scale.

Recent 2025 mocaps have that closer to a 30-35, setting the framework for our offseason plan.

4/ His splitter (added in 2023) scales upward with added fastball velocity and protects his strikeout ceiling.

The slider is a volume strike pitch (70/30 cutter-leaning action over whiff value), so its 2-strike whiff utility decays — the splitter fills that gap with real swing-and-miss.

3/ The mission is threading the needle:

A. Keep the 2023–2025 version of Davidson's pitchability and pitch shapes
- slider (68% strikes, true strength for count progression)
- splitter (40% whiffs, 47% MLB)

B. Restore Davidson's 2020-2022 velocity (93-94)

2/ Early emphasis is rebuilding that engine through environments that boost athleticism and break preconditioned habits created by a 5-oz mound setting.

Short-term transferability back to the mound is the goal, and momentum-driven constraints and plyo balls are, in my opinion, the highest-EV fits for his needs in Phase 1.
