I appreciate this perspective on the topic of shame. Because of how many are raised (myself included) the first instinct is to run and hide from shame. Instead this says to own and it so that people can’t continue to shame you or diminish your light. Resiliency is 🔑

Shame is only debilitating if you doubt your ability to bounce back from social ridicule. Being socially resilient is a life skill; anyone that's a successful social butterfly has had to compete and deal with conflict to get a good spot on the totem pole.
