@GTAVI_Countdown Not trying to defend Leek but after CyberPunk’s horrendous launch, why is it hard to believe GTA6 is far from finished. With the amount of outside money involved, the release date is partially out of Rockstar’s hands. Investors want their money. There’s been news of crunch
It’s all DSA this and progressives that but Mamdani continues to reinforce his S-tier status by tackling basic apolitical stuff that any Dem could if they prioritized it, combined with some damn good branding to be the face of problem-solving.
Let me get this straight.
YouTube deletes my channels with over 1M subscribers, 3,000+ videos and 7 years of hard work, despite me never having received a strike or warning.
When I ask for a reason, they refuse to give me one because providing the specifics could enable “circumvention” of their policies.
So YouTube can delete years of work, but creators aren’t even allowed to know what they supposedly did wrong? How is anyone supposed to appeal a decision they aren’t even allowed to understand?
Every creator should be concerned about a system where this can happen without a clear explanation.
Please share this. Creators deserve transparency. @TeamYouTube
Columbia had students who said this was true arrested, expelled, and stripped of their degrees. They were falsely accused of antisemitism by the international press and government for speaking out. What will the consequence be for the perpetrators admitting it? Probably nothing.
For everyone saying this is awful for creators--
Yes, and plenty of people are talking about that side of things, so let me also say...
It's ALSO terrible for brands, because brands who pay for sponsorships OR ads, generally pay by the view.
This leads to inflated viewcounts that really benefit no one and makes it worse for everyone
it feels like a short term move in order to compete on view metrics against other platforms in order to report bigger numbers on shareholder reports, while changing actually nothing
there was a reason gates, like 3 second watchtime before a view was counted, was a thing before... but now, this just encourages clickbait and low quality views all over
Most YouTubers make their money off brand integrations at $15-$20 CPM.
This is under the assumption watch duration doesn't drop below 38%
Inflating views will destroy average watch duration and upend the one way YouTubers actually make money.
1000 views will no longer be 1000 above 38% watch duration. 1000 views could now mean 500 people saw one frame while it autoplayed.
This means 1000 views is no longer worth $15-$20.
Agencies will either have to recalculate what 1000 views is worth or start offering flat rates that are far less competitive.
Please reverse this decision @TeamYouTube, people who post long videos infrequently (the main value-add of YouTube compared to other social media platforms) will be disproportionately harmed by this change.
long form creators like @EmperorLemon@WereInHellYT@Solar_Sas, and myself rely on a stable ad integration model to do YouTube full time. Creators like us are the only reason your platform still has such a good reputation.
@Ars3_nik@GarageMan20 I thought Vitality with Naak Nako and arguably Carzzy as upgrades to what he currently has on MKOI would be interesting, no other rosters have better components. And I was moreso exploring what Elyoya's options would be if he did leave KOI
@Ars3_nik@GarageMan20 Hey this is Tuff, I respect your opinion, but just so you know, I wasn't theorizing like saying there was any rumors that this would happen, I was just saying that I couldn't think of another org or roster (other than KC or G2) that Elyoya would be interested in joining
I'm always for being open about mental health, but important context is that Kean, as a state rep, voted against the New Jersey Paid Sick Leave Act, which established 40 hours of sick leave for employees a year.
Kean just took *4 months* of paid sick leave.
